The residents of Orange voted to purchase a $15.4 million bond. Almost $8 million of that bond has been applied towards Orange Board of Education improvement/enhancement projects.
The Buildings and Grounds Committee of the Orange Board of Education has had a busy year conducting walk-throughs at each of the four elementary schools, Mary L. Tracy, Peck Place, Race Brook, and Turkey Hill. An updated five-year plan, along with possible bonding projects have been established and include:
We have completed an upgrade to our communications networks and systems. We have implemented district-wide energy efficiency modifications that save taxpayer dollars. Security enhancements have been completed. Repaving at Turkey Hill and Peck Place has been completed.
